About The Position

CesiumAstro is seeking a Staff RF Engineer with experience in board-level RF electronics design to develop RF hardware for satellites, spacecraft, and aerospace systems. The role is responsible for RF circuits and systems throughout all phases of development, including board-level schematic design and PCB layout, as well as system-level communications concepts such as link budgets and modulation schemes. Work may involve phased-array communication systems, including RF front ends, frequency converters and synthesizers, filters, beamformers, power dividers, and phased-array antennas. As a member of the hardware team, the engineer will take RF hardware designs from initial concept through requirements definition, part selection, detailed design, analysis, manufacturing, testing, qualification, and in-orbit support. Design tasks include creating block diagrams and detailed schematics, PCB layout and routing, simulations, and test design. The role also presents engineering design review materials to customers and the executive team and participates in proposal-writing efforts. Applicants must meet U.S. Government Space Technology Export Regulations: they must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, conditional resident, asylee or refugee (protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
