About The Position

Valero is hiring a Staff Reliability Engineer to provide reliability, technical, and engineering services that optimize the life of fixed and rotating equipment safely and effectively. The role is based in person at the Valero Ardmore Refinery and supports equipment reliability, operability, and maintainability. The position is salaried exempt and is not eligible for overtime pay. Position level and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Requirements

• Able and willing to work on-site, in person, at the Valero Ardmore Refinery.
• Bachelor’s or higher-level degree in Engineering.
• Five years of engineering experience in reliability or maintenance.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s or higher-level degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance in resolving equipment design, operation, and maintenance problems.
• Assist in formulating, implementing, maintaining, and auditing Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Diagnostic Maintenance (PDM) programs.
• Assist Operations, Product Control, and Maintenance Departments in developing procedures, training, and processes to ensure equipment is operated within its design parameters.
• Advise engineering on new capital designs and installations to ensure equipment reliability, operability, and maintainability are addressed.
• Develop and review equipment specifications and standards for reliability improvement.
• Develop and track cost justifications for reliability improvement.
• Provide refinery support during planned and unplanned outages, including responding to critical business needs during off-hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Perform all duties following the safety rules and guidelines established by the refinery.
