About The Position

This position is for a Staff Registered Nurse on the 3rd Floor (Med-Surg) working the 7 PM shift. The role involves monitoring patient conditions, assessing needs, and providing the best possible care and advice. It requires observing and interpreting patient symptoms, communicating them to physicians and other providers, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to create individualized care plans. The nurse will perform routine procedures, administer medications and treatments, and maintain hygiene and safety standards within the facility. Emergency medical care and fostering a supportive environment for patients and families are also key aspects of the role. Continuous learning and professional development are encouraged.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse license
  • Ability to monitor patient's condition and assess needs
  • Skill in observing and interpreting patient symptoms
  • Proficiency in communicating with physicians and other providers
  • Ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team
  • Competence in devising individualized care plans
  • Experience performing routine procedures (e.g., blood pressure measurements, administering injections)
  • Proficiency in documenting in electronic records
  • Ability to administer patient medications and treatments according to physician's orders and scope of practice
  • Knowledge of maintaining hygiene and safety standards (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds)
  • Capability to provide instant medical care in emergencies
  • Skill in fostering a supportive and compassionate environment
  • Willingness to expand knowledge and capabilities by attending educational workshops, conferences etc.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds etc.)
  • Provide instant medical care in emergencies
  • Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families
  • Expand knowledge and capabilities by attending educational workshops, conferences etc.
