About The Position

As a member of the GridOS SCADA team, you will be an active contributor to developing automated tests to ensure robust test coverage of Features and User Stories, ensuring that monthly releases are rigorously tested and have high quality, identifying and championing ways to shift-left Quality Assurance activities, and leveraging AI to help advance test capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
  • 6 years of software testing experience

Nice To Haves

  • Familiar with various testing techniques
  • Familiar working with PostgreSQL or similar RDBMSs. Writing sql queries, simple scripts as needed.
  • Familiar with Apache Arrow. Writing Arrow Flight queries, simple scripts as needed.
  • Familiar with User Interface and API Protocols (Soap, REST, WSDL) testing
  • Familiar with Kafka
  • Familiar with AI concepts and how they can be applied to Quality Assurance
  • Familiar with Kubernetes, containerization and microservice based systems
  • Willing to learn and develop Automation frameworks for the Applications under Test (AUT)
  • Familiarity with setting up test environments in accordance with dependencies to different GE Vernova product lines.
  • Experience working as part of an agile scrum team.
  • Great troubleshooting skills
  • Analytical mindset and attention to details
  • Automation knowledge and experience with Playwright, Pytest and qTest is a plus . Experience with other similar tools also considered.
  • Experience setting up and working on AWS cloud platforms or VMware
  • Exposure to CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Maven, Github , Nexus, etc.
  • Familiar with Issue tracking, collaboration, and documentation tools like Microsoft ADO, Antora Docs and Confluence
  • Good communication and Team player

Responsibilities

  • Own large sized tasks or small projects and delivers QE artifacts.
  • Manage deliverables and mentor junior team members.
  • Contribute in driving initiatives such as defining how to leverage AI to its fullest potential in Quality Assurance.
  • Develop and enhance the test infrastructure and continuous integration framework used across teams.
  • Determine testing best practices and principals and promote them across the organization.
  • Work with fellow team members to diagnose bugs and formulate solutions.
  • Provide functional and technical expertise in bug fixes.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in the quality engineering, manage test plans and testing methodology for software projects.
  • Use test automation techniques (data driven, pairwise, mocking, test hooks) that fit the problem space.
  • Understand designing and coding for testability to produce quality code with the lowest cost.
