About The Position

The Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program is seeking a Project Engineer Staff to support the D5LE Sustainment Program Office. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a proven orientation towards action and driving projects forward to completion. This role involves supporting major program reviews, providing executive-level communications, and interfacing frequently with the customer and LM leadership. The position is responsible for Program Management of CLIN 3 with oversight of all deliverable hours and provides direct support to LE Program Managers, including budget prioritization, special projects requiring cross-functional integration, and strategic improvement projects. Project support may include analysis of Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) project performance and EVM data, review of historical contract performance and trends, sustaining flight test activities, coordination of flight test data product review/approval, and contract execution and performance metrics tied to experiment activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
  • Demonstrated project management and leadership skills including analytical thinking, risk analysis, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience effectively influencing and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels with an ability to influence others and drive action without direct authority over them
  • Control Account Management (CAM) and/or Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience
  • Knowledge of fundamental program management principles, earned value management, risk and opportunity management
  • Systems Engineering, Program Management or similar training/experience
  • Experience interfacing with US Government contract officials
  • Must be a US Citizen for consideration due to security clearance requirements

  • Exposure to or experience with Flight Test Operations
  • Bachelors degree in an Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
