About The Position

Nova Credit is seeking a Staff Product Manager with 8+ years of experience to own and scale its Property Management vertical. This role is central to the company's business, spanning across four products: Income Navigator, Eligibility Compass, Credit Passport, and Cash Atlas. The position offers the opportunity to own the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for products that help housing providers verify applicants faster and more accurately while meeting regulatory requirements. The role involves deep collaboration with property management and screening platforms (e.g., Yardi, Appfolio, SafeRent), as well as internal teams like Engineering, Data Science, Compliance, and Go-To-Market. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, B2B2C environment, engage with property managers and affordable-housing operators, and translate their needs into product requirements. This is a hybrid, full-time role based in the New York Metropolitan area, requiring 3 days per week in the office (Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays). Relocation support is available.

Requirements

8+ years in product management.
B2B or B2B2C experience.
Proven track record of shipping high-performing products.
Comfort with regulated spaces, treating compliance such as FCRA / CRA obligations and affordable-housing program requirements as a first-class product concern.
Data fluency; ability to write SQL queries and build Mixpanel dashboards.
Customer obsession; ability to talk to customers constantly and synthesize their insights with quantitative data to drive strategy and prioritization.
Cross-functional range; ability to navigate technical trade-offs with Engineering, debate UX approaches with Design, tie prioritization to revenue for GTM, and communicate complex concepts to any audience.
Bias toward action; ability to break ambiguous problems into achievable milestones and drive them to resolution end-to-end.

Nice To Haves

PropTech / property management background.
Direct experience in property management, tenant screening, or affordable housing.
In-depth industry knowledge in PropTech, or working with consumer-permissioned or credit data within real estate technology.
Familiarity with affordable-housing programs and compliance (e.g., LIHTC, HUD, Section 8) or income/asset verification workflows.

Responsibilities

Own and scale Nova Credit’s Property Management vertical.
Set product strategy for the Property Management vertical.
Build and manage the product roadmap for the Property Management vertical.
Ship products that help housing providers verify applicants faster and more accurately while meeting regulatory requirements.
Partner deeply with property management and screening platforms (e.g., Yardi, Appfolio, SafeRent).
Work closely with Engineering, Data Science, Compliance, and Go-To-Market teams.
Engage directly with market-rate property managers and affordable-housing operators.
Translate customer needs into impactful product requirements.
Define and own the prioritized roadmap for the Property Management vertical aligned with company goals and product vision.
Set quarterly product goals for the vertical.
Become the subject matter expert for Nova Credit’s Property Management vertical.
Launch and iterate on multiple initiatives across the product platform with demonstrated impact to key metrics.
Deepen integrations and partnerships with property management and screening platforms.
Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic cross-functional partners and key customers.
Refresh the product strategy for the vertical while contributing to annual roadmapping and Nova Credit’s long-term product vision.
