About The Position

Zscaler is looking for a Staff Product Manager to join their team. This role is hybrid, based in San Jose, CA, with 3 days onsite. The Staff Product Manager will report to the Director, Product Management and will be responsible for driving the vision, strategy, and execution for Zscaler’s Data Security capabilities. This position will contribute to expanding a cloud security platform designed for innovation, scale, and business enablement. The role involves owning the end-to-end product lifecycle for Data Security products, including Web DLP and Email DLP, defining and prioritizing product requirements based on market research, competitive insights, and customer feedback. The individual will partner with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, UX, Support, Operations, Sales, and Marketing to bring ideas from concept to successful delivery. Additionally, they will support product deployment and sales enablement in beta and production environments, and drive go-to-market plans with Marketing and Sales to ensure product adoption and success.

Requirements

  • Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions to optimize outcomes within your functional domain
  • 5+ years of product management experience delivering Cyber Security solutions
  • Proven experience with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and data classification products with understanding of legacy tools and modern AI-based classification methods
  • Strong technical foundation in Data Security, Email, Proxy, CASB, DSPM & adjacent technologies
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to operate across technical and business stakeholders

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building roadmap for Data Security, Data Loss Prevention, or advanced AI-based automated data classification solutions
  • Technical degree or a background in hands-on engineering, providing the architectural depth needed to lead complex product modules
  • Knowledge of Browsers, Browser plugins and endpoint agents, security frameworks and compliance standards

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for Data Security products, including Web DLP and Email DLP
