About The Position

Etsy is seeking a Staff Product Designer to join their Inventory team. This role will focus on designing the products that power selling on Etsy, specifically within the Listings and Inventory areas. The designer will explore AI's potential in listing creation and rethink inventory management across web and mobile platforms. The position involves working across strategy, systems, interaction design, and visual craft to simplify complex workflows and create distinctive Etsy experiences. The goal is to help millions of entrepreneurs spend less time managing their shops and more time creating. This is a full-time position reporting to the Director of Product Design, Inventory.

Requirements

Exceptional visual design craft, backed by a portfolio of shipped product work.
Strong motion and interaction design skills that improve clarity, usability, and delight.
Excellent storytelling and communication skills that bring ideas to life and influence decisions.
Expertise in prototyping, from rapid exploration to polished, high-fidelity experiences.
Experience using AI to accelerate design exploration and improve product outcomes.
A track record of bringing clarity to complex, ambiguous product challenges.
7+ years of product design experience.
Agency experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end design projects across Inventory teams, from early concepts through launch, partnering closely with cross functional partners to build products sellers love.
Prototype ideas to explore concepts, gather feedback, and guide product decisions.
Push the quality of visual design, interaction design, motion, and design systems.
Mentor designers through feedback, critiques, and day-to-day collaboration.
