About The Position

Onebrief is collaboration and AI-powered workflow software designed specifically for military staffs. By transforming this work, Onebrief makes the staff as a whole superhuman - meaning faster, smarter, and more efficient. We take ownership, seek excellence, and play to win with the seriousness and camaraderie of an Olympic team. Onebrief operates as an all-remote company, though many of our employees work alongside our customers at military commands around the world. Founded in 2019 by a group of experienced planners, today, Onebrief’s team spans veterans from all forces and global organizations, and technologists from leading-edge software companies. We’ve raised $320m+ from top-tier investors, including Battery Ventures, General Catalyst, Sapphire Ventures, Insight Partners, and Human Capital, and today, Onebrief is valued at $2.15B. With this continued growth, Onebrief is able to make an impact where it matters most. We're hiring a Staff Product Designer to join our Design Team. You'll report to our Head of Product Design, Ario Jafarzadeh. Our team is highly specialized, and the core skillset for this role is a deep-thinker who understands complex systems and workflows. You will work across our squads, rotating fluidly across geospatial, ICAM, and other areas, using a product perspective to create a seamless user experience. Curious, creative, and collaborative, your focus on user experience shapes an intuitive aesthetic. You play with the latest tooling, form “strong opinions loosely held,” and have discerning personal taste - and you can articulate its value to end users. You have worked on projects involving aspects of creative support, data visualization, or modern collaboration where innovative design was vital to their success. You understand that while AI is changing the world (as will whatever comes next), the fundamentals of design are still just that - fundamental. Style matters, but it complements substance, it cannot replace it. You wince anytime you see bad kerning. You have a low ego, high EQ, and higher ethics. You’re a lifelong learner, driven by the endless pursuit of mastering your craft to support your users.
