About The Position

Frame.io, an Adobe Company, is seeking a Staff Product Designer to help shape the future of creative collaboration. This role involves defining unique experiences and pioneering new patterns in response to evolving creative workflows and technologies like generative AI and Frame.io’s Camera to Cloud. The designer will tackle complex product challenges, set the standard for craft excellence, and act as a strategic partner to product and engineering leadership in a fast-paced environment. This position is ideal for an accomplished designer with strong strategic product thinking, exceptional craft, and the ability to mentor others. The role requires mastery-level design skills, a history of shipping high-impact products, and a commitment to quality and elegance.

Requirements

8+ years of product design experience with a proven track record shipping high-quality digital products at companies known for design excellence.
Exceptional craft in visual design, interaction design, and prototyping, including creating high-fidelity prototypes with the latest tools, possessing impeccable aesthetic judgment, and obsessive attention to detail.
Strategic product thinking with strong systems design skills, including navigating ambiguity, understanding complex workflows, and designing for holistic experiences beyond individual features, balancing user needs, business goals, and technical constraints, grounded in real customer insights.
Outstanding communication and storytelling abilities, including articulating design thinking clearly, building compelling narratives, and influencing stakeholders at all levels with confidence.
Proven ability to build strong partnerships with product managers, engineers, researchers, and designers, creating alignment through collaboration and having working knowledge of technical constraints.
Experience mentoring designers and elevating others' craft through thoughtful feedback, modeling best practices, and leading through example and influence.
Genuine curiosity about emerging creative tools and technologies, staying current with innovations in generative AI and creative production tools, and understanding how technology is reshaping creative work.
A portfolio demonstrating exceptional craft and attention to detail, showcasing elegant problem-solving, high-quality execution, and a level of care and polish comparable to product work.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end design for strategic, high-impact initiatives, navigating ambiguity, defining design strategy through rapid prototyping and validation, and executing with exceptional craft from concepts through implementation and post-launch iteration.
Set the standard for design excellence by championing exceptional craft across visual design, interaction design, and product thinking, ensuring every experience reflects Frame.io's commitment to fluidity, elegance, and detail.
Utilize the latest tools like Cursor and Figma to create compelling prototypes for exploration, communication, iteration, and validation.
Build strong cross-functional relationships with product and engineering to identify opportunities, define compelling visions, facilitate alignment on complex problems, and influence decisions through design work.
Stay ahead of creative technology trends, immersing in emerging tools, generative AI, and new creative workflows to identify opportunities for Frame.io and incorporate cutting-edge patterns.
Mentor designers across the organization by providing thoughtful feedback in design critiques, modeling best practices, and helping others grow their craft and product thinking.
