About The Position

Detail-oriented, reliable, creative team player to lead/assist in process design for new and existing facilities. Analyze, calculate, and design new or revamped process equipment in refinery, chemical, and other industrial applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience
  • Knowledge of P&ID development, heat and material balances, hydraulic and equipment sizing calculations, relief device sizing, API standards, and ASME codes
  • Experience mentoring and leading small teams
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • P.E. Preferred
  • Knowledge of process simulation software (eg Aspen Plus, HYSYS) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead field and technical evaluations of existing process units
  • Direct and perform calculations, develop PFDs and P&IDs, provide design documentation for downstream engineering disciplines, develop equipment specifications, compile scope of work packages for construction
  • Lead Client and Contractor interface, attend meetings, and provide written reports
  • Provide technical support for field execution, including outage/turnaround projects
  • Assist in constructability planning, proposal, and estimate development
