About The Position
McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston’s Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine is seeking pediatric hospitalists to join its community-based team serving Memorial Hermann Sugar Land and Memorial Hermann Katy. Physicians have access to community subspecialists and the Texas Medical Center. The hospitalists provide evidence-based, family-centered inpatient care, collaborate closely with pediatric emergency medicine colleagues, and supervise and educate students, residents, and fellows. The role offers opportunities for professional growth in education, research, administration, and academic advancement through mentorship, committee involvement, and leadership opportunities. The program is an academic program with a large pediatric residency program and PHM fellowship. Memorial Hermann Sugar Land has an 8-bed IMU, and Memorial Hermann Katy has a 9-bed IMU. This is the primary pediatric teaching site for UT McGovern Medical School. The position has no delivery or nursery responsibilities.
Requirements
- Texas Medical License or eligibility for a Texas Faculty Temporary License.
- Board-licensed or board-eligible in Pediatrics.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Passion for education and training.
- Interest in quality and patient safety.
