About The Position

The Staff Physician with a women's health focus provides clinical care to patients, based upon his/her specialty training, through an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach that takes into consideration the psychosocial aspects of both health and disease.

Requirements

M.D. or D.O. with completion of an accredited residency training program in Family Medicine or completion of at least two years of an accredited OB/GYN residency training program with subsequent completion of a primary care residency program.
Board Certified/Board Eligible
Completion of medical degree and an accredited residency program
Appropriate Maryland licensure and clinical certification, DEA and Maryland CDS, X license.
Interest in and/or experience in community health settings
Experience working in a diverse environment
Ability to work harmoniously with diverse groups of individuals required
Excellent communication and team skills required.

Responsibilities

Participates in peer review and quality improvement activities of the department
Provides high quality clinical care in a multidisciplinary environment
Maintains the standard of clinical care, using diagnostic testing appropriately and providing appropriate treatment
Uses diagnostic testing appropriately yet cost-effectively, and providing appropriate treatment
Considers the psychosocial aspects of both health and disease
Maintains educational competencies, identifies educational deficits and plans ways to meet those deficits
Seeks consultation and makes referrals when appropriate
Effectively engages patients in their care
Demonstrates professionalism and integrity in all aspects of patient care
Maintains complete and comprehensive documentation
Provides a supportive learning environment for students, fellows, and residents
Other duties as assigned.
