About The Position

The University of Miami is seeking a highly qualified Staff Physician to provide world-class, high-quality primary care in an ambulatory clinic. This role involves adhering to UHealth policies and standards of practice, participating in quality and system compliance initiatives, and potentially engaging in scholarly activities and institutional service through clinical research, teaching of medical students, and residents. The position is based in South Florida and is part of a leading-edge health system known for its groundbreaking research and medical education.

Requirements

Degree as a Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
Active internal medicine certification or eligibility by either the American Board of Internal Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine
Valid unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligible to apply (a valid Florida medical license is required prior to credentialing)
Expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of complex illnesses, in health promotion and in disease prevention.
Maintain the educational requirements mandated for state licensing
Compliance with UHealth policies
Maintain current BLS and ACLS certification
Maintain a valid DEA license

Responsibilities

Maintain outpatient clinical practice at any of our UHealth ambulatory locations
9 half-day sessions per week
Optional clinical activities at Jackson Memorial Hospital including inpatient wards, medical consultation service and ambulatory resident and student clinic.
Participation in quality and system compliance initiatives.
Optional scholarly activities and institutional service through clinical research, teaching of medical students, and residents.
