The Staff Physician will provide high-quality, comprehensive primary care services to adult patients, ensuring access to essential healthcare for all populations. The Staff Physician diagnoses and treats acute and chronic conditions, performs preventive health screenings, and manages care coordination with specialists and behavioral health providers. By adhering to evidence-based practices and regulatory standards, the physician helps maintain compliance with HRSA requirements and supports quality improvement initiatives. Additionally, the Staff Physician contributes to reducing health disparities, improving community health outcomes and fostering trust between patients and the health care team.

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. Degree and Board Certified or Eligible in Internal Medicine.
  • Requires the ability and commitment to respect and support patients, other employees, and visitors with various lived experiences.

  • Employees are accountable for meeting the performance standards of their departments and must participate as requested in compliance audits and quality improvement plans.

Nice To Haves

  • Required to obtain 50 or more CME credits per year to remain eligible for medical staff credentialing and commercial insurance crediting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide primary care to adult patients on-site in clinic with an interdisciplinary approach.
  • Rotating 7-day phone-based call system to include urgent patient communications, ED visits, hospital admissions, panic lab values, etc.
  • Provide consultation regarding general primary care, as needed.
  • Provide primary medical care, for diverse populations, including patients with HIV, Hep C, substance use disorder & LGBTQ+ patients.
  • Precept students, residents, and other medical staff during elective rotations at Trillium Health.
  • Complete all clinical documentation within 3 days of medical treatment.
  • Complete assigned Ongoing Peer Reviews quarterly.
  • Complete Focused Peer Reviews as assigned.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all patient, client, employee, protected and proprietary information.
  • Participate in continuous improvement of job responsibilities and organizational or work processes to advance the organization or department.
