Join Teladoc Health, a leader in virtual healthcare, as a 1099, 24/7 Care Staff Physician, where you'll play a critical role in expanding access to exceptional, patient-centered care across the country. As an independent contractor, you can either add to your current clinical practice or build an entire telemedicine practice depending on the state(s) you are licensed in. We're seeking experienced, independently licensed physicians who thrive in an innovative, technology-driven environment and are excited to shape the future of healthcare. In this role, you'll deliver comprehensive virtual care through on-demand visits through a variety of modalities to provide patients with timely, convenient care whenever and wherever they need it. Beyond direct patient care, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with internal stakeholders, support clinical initiatives, and serve as a mentor and trusted resource for fellow physicians within the Teladoc Health network. This position supports hiring 100% remote within the U.S.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of clinical experience as a physician.
  • Active Medical license required with Board Certification in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.
  • Candidates must hold active, unrestricted licensure in a minimum of four (4) states at the time of hire.
  • Must be eligible for and willing to enroll in applicable state and federal healthcare programs, with no exclusions that would prevent participation.
  • Must hold an active DEA
  • Must have a clean professional record with no board disciplinary actions.
  • Passionate regarding the delivery of high-quality medical care
  • History of strong clinical performance
  • Willingness to serve as an ambassador regarding the clinical importance of virtual care
  • Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records and computer-based applications
  • Ability to build relationships across departments
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Telehealth experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide virtual medical services to Teladoc members
  • Provide care via a variety of virtual modalities
  • Willingness to service members requiring prioritization as identified by Teladoc’s operations team
  • Work closely at times with Teladoc’s operation team to ensure network needs are fulfilled
  • Provide picture and professional profile for posting on platform
