About The Position

Sterling Center Uro/Gyn is seeking a Staff Physical Therapist to perform comprehensive evaluations of patients with pelvic floor dysfunction. Requirements

  • Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of practice.
  • Experience in evaluating and treating patients with pelvic floor dysfunction.
  • Proficiency in manual therapy, biofeedback, therapeutic exercise, and patient education techniques.
  • Strong understanding of pelvic health and related conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy (e.g., WCS).
  • Experience with specific modalities like biofeedback for pelvic floor rehabilitation.
  • Advanced training in areas such as obstetrics, gynecology, or urology.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients with pelvic floor dysfunction.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based techniques such as manual therapy, biofeedback, therapeutic exercise, and patient education.
  • Provide guidance on lifestyle modifications, posture, and core strengthening to improve pelvic health.
  • Educate patients on self-care strategies, prevention techniques, and home exercise programs.
  • Collaborate with referring providers, including OB/GYNs, urologists, gastroenterologists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, treatment progress, and outcomes.
  • Stay up to date with the latest research and advancements in pelvic health therapy.
  • Ensure a patient-centered approach to care, promoting comfort and confidence in treatment.
