Requirements

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, Physics, or a related field.
Proven experience in photonic integrated circuit design and simulation tools (e.g., Lumerical, Cadence.
Strong understanding of silicon photonics fabrication processes and device physics.
Experience with layout design and design rule checks (DRC).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Capacity to comply with U.S. export control laws.

Nice To Haves

Master's or Ph.D. in a relevant field.
Experience with advanced packaging technologies for photonic devices.
Familiarity with AI and HPC workloads and their specific photonic requirements.
Experience with Python or other scripting languages for automation and analysis.

Responsibilities

Deliver innovative photonic integrated circuit (PIC) designs for AI data center applications.
Responsible for the full design cycle, from concept to tape-out and validation.
Create and maintain detailed design documentation, including specifications, schematics, and layout.
Support the characterization and testing of fabricated photonic devices.
Manage design flows and collaborate with cross-functional teams including process, packaging, and system engineers.
