Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, Physics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in photonic integrated circuit design and simulation tools (e.g., Lumerical, Cadence.
  • Strong understanding of silicon photonics fabrication processes and device physics.
  • Experience with layout design and design rule checks (DRC).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Capacity to comply with U.S. export control laws.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's or Ph.D. in a relevant field.
  • Experience with advanced packaging technologies for photonic devices.
  • Familiarity with AI and HPC workloads and their specific photonic requirements.
  • Experience with Python or other scripting languages for automation and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver innovative photonic integrated circuit (PIC) designs for AI data center applications.
  • Responsible for the full design cycle, from concept to tape-out and validation.
  • Create and maintain detailed design documentation, including specifications, schematics, and layout.
  • Support the characterization and testing of fabricated photonic devices.
  • Manage design flows and collaborate with cross-functional teams including process, packaging, and system engineers.
