Position Summary The Staff Pharmacist is responsible for providing high-quality pharmaceutical care to patients while ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations. This role requires strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced mail-order pharmacy environment.

Requirements

  • PharmD or RPh degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
  • Active Kentucky Pharmacist License in good standing.
  • All additional held pharmacist licenses must be active and in good standing.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Staff Pharmacist.
  • Ability to work on-site in Southgate, Kentucky.

Responsibilities

  • Process and accurately dispense prescription medications in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide pharmaceutical care and medication counseling to patients.
  • Review prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential drug interactions.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and protect sensitive health information.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and documentation of controlled substances.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to clarify prescriptions and resolve medication-related issues.
  • Utilize pharmacy resources and reference materials to support clinical decision-making.
  • Support quality assurance initiatives and compliance standards.
  • Contribute to a positive, patient-focused team environment.
