About The Position

The Staff Pharmacist supports the Pharmacy Manager in leading and directing Pharmacy Technician Support Staff and helps manage, oversee, and operate all aspects of the pharmacy. The role is accountable for patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, personnel and inventory management, financial profitability, loss prevention, and workflow management. A key component is adopting and managing patient care programs to help keep customers and patients healthy.

The Staff Pharmacist demonstrates empathy and compassion for patients, customers, caregivers, and colleagues; motivates and develops pharmacy support staff; identifies business opportunities and implements solutions to improve growth and performance; adapts to change in a dynamic community healthcare setting; collaborates to deliver better outcomes; builds support and commitment around shared goals; and contributes to a caring, energetic, enthusiastic, and proud team culture. Requirements

• Active pharmacy license in the state of employment.
• Must not be on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
• Immunization certification through an accredited organization (e.g., APhA).
• No pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree.

Responsibilities

• Support the Pharmacy Manager in leading and directing Pharmacy Technician Support Staff.
• Support management, oversight, and operation of all aspects of the pharmacy.
• Oversee patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, personnel management, inventory management, financial profitability, loss prevention, and workflow management.
• Adopt and manage patient care programs to help keep customers and patients healthy.
• Motivate, inspire, and develop Pharmacy Support Staff by assigning work to maximize strengths, address development opportunities, and reduce knowledge gaps.
• Identify business opportunities and contribute to solutions that drive growth and improve pharmacy performance.
• Lead the team in implementing solutions and achieving specified goals.
• Adapt plans and work effectively in a dynamic community healthcare setting.
