About The Position

To assist customers in their shopping experience by assisting them with their pharmaceutical and other wellness needs in the safest, most courteous manner possible. This is an exempt position.

Requirements

Current Pharmacist License in good standing.
B.S. in Pharmacy or Pharm D.
A valid driver’s license is required for deliveries.
Completion of ongoing training and development as listed on the Cosentino Learning Plan.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Retail Pharmacy Software Systems experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

In the absence of the Pharmacist in Charge, provide overall supervision of the activities in the department in a manner that is operationally effective, but is also motivating and respectful.
Compound and dispense prescribed medications, drugs, and other pharmaceuticals for patient care.
Review prescriptions issued by Physician, or other authorized prescriber to assure accuracy and determine formulas and ingredients needed.
Compound medications, using standard formulas and processes such as weighing, measuring and mixing ingredients.
In the absence of the Pharmacist in Charge, direct all pharmacy employees engaged in mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals.
Answer questions and provide information to pharmacy customers on drug interactions, side effects, dosage and storage of pharmaceuticals.
Maintain established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs.
Enter data such as patient name, prescribed medication and cost, to maintain pharmacy files, charge system, and inventory.
Assay medications to determine identity, purity, and strength.
Instruct interns and other medical personnel on matters pertaining to pharmacy.
Meet or exceed any productivity standards set by the corporate director or store director.
Know, comply with, and encourage other team members to comply with all health regulations, sanitation guidelines and safety procedures for your department and your store. Ensure premises are in a satisfactory state of cleanliness.
Resolve customer complaints in a professional manner and recognize when it is appropriate to involve a higher level of management.
Know and implement the Cosentino Customer Service Standards.
Able to operate all necessary equipment safely and competently.

Demonstrate the strong verbal and interpersonal skills necessary for positive customer and peer interactions.
