About The Position
Incumbent is responsible for accurately filling prescriptions and counseling patients on the safe use of medications and in accordance with established internal policies, State and Federal regulations and with accepted standards of good pharmacy practice.
Requirements
- Comprehensive, multidisciplinary knowledge of Board of Pharmacy principles & practices, laws and regulations
- Knowledge of pharmacy products, services and operations
- Analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to gather information, generate solutions and evaluate outcomes
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy
- Current Pharmacist License in State of CT or willing and able to obtain license within 90 days of hire.
- Current CPR certification and Certified Immunizer with APhA
- Must have and maintain in good standing CT Pharmacist licensure as well as personal licensure in other states when regulated by state law (for mail order)
- Must attest to being Pharmacist in Charge on CT and all Non-Resident facility licenses in states when necessary for mail order
- Must submit to and successfully pass pre-employment drug screening and reasonable suspicion drug screening in accordance with The Mohegan Tribe’s Drug & Alcohol Testing Policy
- No felony convictions or misdemeanors involving moral turpitude or issues of integrity
