About the Facility: Glen Oaks Hospital is a 54-bed, The Joint Commission accredited, private behavioral health hospital located in Greenville, Texas. For nearly 30 years, Glen Oaks Hospital has been a leader in the field of mental health and chemical dependency care, and our staff is dedicated to researching the latest treatment approaches and applying this to our overall treatment philosophy. CPS Solutions-Optum has partnered with the hospital to manage the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions-Optum. Pharmacy Hours: The pharmacy is open Monday-Friday 7:00am – 3:00pm, with limited morning hours on Saturday and Sunday. This is a per diem position with no guaranteed or set schedule. The individual in this role will provide coverage as needed for planned and unplanned staff absences, including PTO, vacation, leave of absence, and other staffing needs. Flexibility and availability to work on an as-needed basis are essential.

Requirements

  • ACPE - accredited PharmD degree (highly preferred) or BS of Pharmacy with recent pharmacist work experience
  • Active State of Texas pharmacist license in good standing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Nice To Haves

  • Some hospital pharmacy work experience

Responsibilities

  • Processes physician drug orders including, but not limited to: order entry into dispensing computer system, appropriate product selection, labeling and repackaging, delegating product preparation activities to pharmacy technicians
  • Consults with various health care professionals and provides information and guidance concerning drugs and their appropriate use
  • Complies with departmental and hospital policies and procedures
  • Assumes duties of Director of Pharmacy in his/her absence to manage daily departmental activities
  • Participates in and/or provides support to hospital committees as agreed upon by committee members and the Director of Pharmacy to help establish drug-related policies, criteria, or to monitor issues related to drugs i.e. Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee
  • Assist in the preparation of periodic reports on the progress of the department for submission to the administration of the hospital
  • Assists the department and hospital in maintaining compliance with accreditation standards
