About The Position

The Staff Pharmacist supports the Pharmacy Manager in leading and directing Pharmacy Technician Support Staff and is accountable for the management, oversight, and operation of the pharmacy. The role includes responsibility for patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, personnel and inventory management, financial profitability, loss prevention, and workflow management. Staff Pharmacists help keep customers and patients healthy through the adoption and management of patient care programs. The pharmacist provides empathetic, compassionate care; motivates and develops pharmacy support staff; identifies business opportunities and helps develop and implement solutions to improve growth and performance. The role requires adapting to change in a dynamic community healthcare setting, collaborating to deliver better outcomes, aligning others around shared goals, and contributing to a caring, energetic team culture. The pharmacist applies professional knowledge to support healthy outcomes and differentiate CVS from competitors.

Requirements

Active Pharmacy License in the state in which employed.
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
Immunization Certification through an accredited organization, such as APhA.
No pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree.

Responsibilities

Support the Pharmacy Manager in leading and directing Pharmacy Technician Support Staff.
Support the management, oversight, and operation of all aspects of the pharmacy.
Promote patient safety and pharmacy professional practice while meeting regulatory requirements.
Manage quality assurance, customer service, personnel, inventory, financial profitability, loss prevention, and workflow.
