About The Position

This Staff Pharmacist role is located at our Appleton, WI Store Location and is eligible for sign-on and relocation bonuses. Full-Time and Part-Time opportunities are available. The Staff Pharmacist plays a personal role within the community by ensuring patients receive the medication and care they need. This involves practicing pharmacy in an environment that promotes patient care and education, including patient consultations and immunizations. The role also includes mentoring, training, and guiding Pharmacy Technicians.

Requirements

Must be a licensed Pharmacist in the state of Wisconsin.
Bachelor of Science Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
Registered and licensed in the state of practice.
Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
Retail/Community Practice.
Working knowledge of pharmacy system.
Working knowledge of policies and procedures.
Understanding of regulatory in the state the unit operates.
Effective communication skills and agent of change.
Excellent organization skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
Listen to the patient and resolve patient’s needs, customer service.

Responsibilities

Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members, and leadership.
Hold pharmacy technicians accountable for results in an appropriate and effective manner.
Expand and grow the pharmacy business.
Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.
Motivate team members to perform to their highest level.
Be competent and knowledgeable of Meijer Policies and Procedures as well as state and federal laws.
Perform and oversee (where allowed) clinical services, including immunizations.
In the absence of the pharmacist in charge, will be responsible for the pharmacy operations.
