PRN Staff Pharmacist
About The Position
The PRN Staff Pharmacist works on Omnicell’s Specialty Pharmacy team, contributing to community well-being and helping ensure efficient, effective, and continually improving pharmacy operations. The role provides personalized patient care and pharmacy consulting, builds relationships with local physicians and the medical community to support safe and accurate medication dispensing, and stays current on pharmacy regulations, retail pharmacy practices, and specialty diseases, including autoimmune conditions, oncology, hepatitis C, and HIV. The pharmacy serves the local community Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at 1308 Washington St., Watertown, NY 13601. The position requires standing, walking, and other movement during the shift, lifting up to 25 pounds, regularly talking and hearing, and the ability to distinguish colors and shapes. A drug screen is required.
Requirements
- Pharm.D. or BS Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
- Current pharmacist license in good standing in New York.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move for the duration of the shift and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to regularly talk and hear.
- Ability to see distinctions in colors and shapes.
- Pass a required drug screen.

- Provide exceptional, personalized patient care and pharmacy consulting services, advising and guiding patients with empathy, confidentiality, and diligence.
- Build effective relationships with local physicians and the medical community to support accurate and safe medication dispensing.
- Develop a strong understanding of pharmacy operations and pursue continual improvement, learning, and leadership to support patient care and pharmacy team development.
- Stay informed about regulations, retail pharmacy best practices, and specialty diseases such as autoimmune conditions, oncology, hepatitis C, and HIV.
