About The Position

Inizio Engage is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to support the Specialty Pharmacy component of our HUB services. This Pharmacist position is key within the Specialty Pharmacy and plays a critical role in supporting pharmaceutical care activities, including direct interaction with prescribers, patients, and caregivers. This position will work closely with clinical team leadership to ensure overall performance of program services, ensuring the team meets and/or exceed established Service Level Agreements (SLAs). The Staff Pharmacist will collaborate cross-functionally with operations, reimbursement, and patient support teams to ensure optimal patient care, regulatory compliance, and adherence to established business rules and processes. Location Requirement: Candidates must reside within the Louisville, KY metropolitan area. This is an onsite position Monday through Friday.

Requirements

  • B.S. Pharm or PharmD from an accredited school of pharmacy
  • 3+ years of post-graduate experience in pharmacy operations, clinical oversight, and patient care
  • Active, unrestricted pharmacist licenses in both Kentucky and California (required)
  • Must reside within the Louisville, KY metropolitan area
  • Strong working knowledge of multi-state pharmacy regulations and compliance requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and experience supervising pharmacy technicians
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating within a cross-functional HUB services environment
  • Ability to obtain additional state licensures as directed by the business

Nice To Haves

  • Additional state pharmacist licenses strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialty pharmacy services within our HUB model in compliance with all state and federal regulations, company policies, and professional standards.
  • Review, verify, and dispense specialty pharmaceutical prescriptions with a high degree of clinical accuracy and regulatory oversight.
  • Evaluate prescriptions for completeness, appropriateness, drug interactions, dosing accuracy, and authorization requirements.
  • Provide telephonic and consultative pharmacy services to specialty patients, caregivers, and prescribers.
  • Work closely with clinical leadership to ensure program performance meets or exceeds established SLAs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with reimbursement, patient access, and operations teams to ensure seamless patients onboarding and continuity of care.
  • Supervise and direct pharmacy technicians’ workflow, verifying preparation, labeling, order entry, doses, schedules, and dispensing accuracy.
  • Verify inventory integrity, expiration dates, temperature requirements, and appropriate beyond-use dating.
  • Serve as supervising pharmacist when required and act as backup to the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC).
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient and program information in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance optimization efforts.
  • Complete required documentation, reporting, end-of-day assignments, and security protocols.
  • Participate in on-call rotation as applicable.
