About The Position

The Staff Pharmacist supports the Pharmacy Manager in leading and directing Pharmacy Technician Support Staff and is accountable for supporting the management, oversight, and operation of all aspects of the pharmacy. This includes patient safety, professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, personnel and inventory management, financial profitability, loss prevention, and workflow management. The role helps keep customers and patients healthy through adoption and management of patient care programs. The Staff Pharmacist leads with empathy and compassion, motivates and develops the Pharmacy Support Staff, identifies business opportunities and solutions, and leads the team in achieving goals. The pharmacist adapts to change in a dynamic community healthcare setting, collaborates to improve outcomes, aligns colleagues around shared purpose, contributes to a caring and energetic team culture, and applies knowledge to support healthy outcomes and distinguish CVS from competitors.

Requirements

Active pharmacy license in the state of employment.
Must not be on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
Immunization certification through an accredited organization, such as APhA.
No pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree.
