About The Position
Join Walmart’s Central Fill Pharmacy team in Republic, Missouri, as a Staff Pharmacist. This role supports backend pharmacy operations in a highly automated environment, processing prescriptions for multiple retail locations so retail pharmacies can focus more time on patient care. The Staff Pharmacist helps maintain high operational standards and deliver seamless pharmacy services. The available second shift is 3 p.m. to 3 a.m. Relocation and state licensure assistance are available.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD, or Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency through the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy.
- Current, unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of practice.
- Ability to obtain multiple state permits or registrations.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical laws and regulations.
- Experience in inventory management and prescription verification.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, automated environment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience using and maintaining automated medication counting machines.
- Experience working as a licensed pharmacist in a hospital.
- Experience working as a licensed pharmacist in a retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direction and guidance to pharmacy associates, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain and track medication inventory, including proper stock rotation and shrinkage control.
- Perform visual verification of prescriptions for clinical and legal accuracy.
- Adapt to changing production demands while maintaining high quality standards.
- Obtain and renew required pharmacist permits, registrations, licenses, and training.
