About The Position

This position is for a per diem Staff Pharmacist at Mesilla Valley Hospital, a 120-bed psychiatric and detox facility. The pharmacy is centralized and utilizes HCS. Pharmacy hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:00pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00am-12:00noon. The schedule for this per diem role involves working two weekends per month, both Saturday and Sunday, from 8:00am-12:00noon, and occasionally weekdays to cover staff PTO as needed. Requirements

• Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy
• Current New Mexico Pharmacist license in good standing
• Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
• Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
• Demonstrated effective communications skills, both verbal and written

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a pharmacist in a hospital or retail setting

Responsibilities

• Fill orders with accuracy
• Check technician-prepared products before release
• Maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances
