About The Position
The Staff Pharmacist is responsible for the safe and accurate dispensing of medications, ensuring compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulations. This role involves managing safety and risk within the pharmacy, maintaining equipment, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement. The pharmacist will also ensure all licensing requirements are current and manage the proper storage and disposal of chemicals, expired drugs, and hazardous waste.
Requirements
- Licensed with Arizona State Board of Pharmacy.
- 2+ years of Pharmacist-in-Charge experience.
- 2+ years of sterile compounding experience.
Nice To Haves
- Additional state licenses preferred.
Responsibilities
- Safely and accurately dispensing drugs as prescribed.
- Ensuring safety and risk management in the pharmacy, including enforcement of policies and procedures.
- Ensuring all equipment is in good working order and up to date per standard regulations.
- Ensuring compliance with written policies and procedures.
- Taking corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy and applicable regulations.
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensuring all licensing requirements are up to date per state and federal requirements.
- Responsible for proper chemical, expired drug, and hazardous waste storage and disposal in a compliant manner.
