About The Position

Great New Career Opportunity in Long-Term Care Pharmacy! Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy provides specialized care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout the United States. We have been providing long-term care pharmacy services since 2007, but we originated as part of our independent retail pharmacy, Tarrytown Pharmacy, which has been serving the local community since 1941. Through our dedication to provide excellence to our customers, we have grown from a small independent pharmacy to a multi-state long-term care pharmacy solution.

Requirements

Must possess a KS State Board of Pharmacy Pharmacist License
Positive personality who is able to work well within a team
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Can de-escalate and troubleshoot problems within the pharmacy
Must be able to withstand long hours of computer screen time and deskwork
Must be able to stand/be on feet for duration of an eight (8) hour shift

Nice To Haves

Experience with document management system such as Docutrack or ECM preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

Manages the workflow processes which may include pharmacist verification and labeling/packaging
Reviews medication orders and evaluates their appropriateness and completeness
Complies with federal and local pharmacy laws as regulated by the Pennsylvania State Boards of Pharmacy, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Food and Drug Administration.
Performs all job duties with a friendly, positive and team-oriented approach
Maintains required licenses or certifications in good standing
Complies with all company policies, procedures, rules and standards
All other duties as assigned by Pharmacist-in-Charge
