This position goes beyond traditional dispensing and includes active participation in non-sterile compounding, final product verification, and patient-centered care. You will work closely with the Pharmacist-in-Charge and team to maintain high standards, optimize workflow, and contribute to the continued growth of the pharmacy. Requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy ( PharmD ) required
  • Active California Pharmacist License in good standing
  • Minimum 1 year of non-sterile compounding experience strongly preferred
  • At least 2 years of pharmacist experience preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment and high-level accuracy in compounding calculations
  • Exceptional attention to detail and documentation discipline
  • Effective communication skills with both patients and healthcare providers
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Perform repetitive compounding tasks with precision
  • Occasionally lift up to 15 pounds
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made as needed

Responsibilities

  • Verify prescriptions with precision, accuracy, and clinical judgment
  • Perform and oversee non-sterile compounding in compliance with USP standards
  • Conduct final verification of compounded preparations , including formulation accuracy, calculations, and documentation review
  • Provide comprehensive patient counseling for both traditional and compounded medications
  • Ensure full compliance with state, federal, and Board of Pharmacy regulations
  • Maintain accurate and compliant compounding logs and records
  • Support efficient workflow while maintaining high-quality clinical standards
  • Assist in reimbursement awareness and prescription profitability
  • Oversee and maintain inventory levels , including active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs)
  • Support training, mentorship, and development of pharmacy technicians and compounding staff
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives and continuous process improvement
