About The Position
This position is responsible for dispensing and checking prescriptions, overseeing the work of pharmacy technicians, and responding to inquiries from physicians, client facilities, and patients. The role requires management skills to ensure the accuracy of all dispensed items and to uphold the pharmacy management's goals and objectives within the dispensing pharmacy.
Requirements
- Licensed Pharmacist in WA is mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Dispense and verify prescriptions according to Federal and State regulations, dosage, strength, patient allergies, disease states, drug interactions and formularies.
- Provide physicians, nurses, and patients with therapeutic recommendations and/or medication information and when necessary to resolve patient issues.
- Oversee the work of pharmacy technicians.
- Respond to inquiries by physicians, client facilities, and patients.
- Promote accuracy of all items dispensed by the pharmacy.
- Responsible for the continuation of pharmacy management’s goals and objectives within the dispensing pharmacy.
