About The Position

Infusion for Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Staff Pharmacist to join our Riverside pharmacy  team. The Pharmacist is responsible for performing all aspects of pharmaceutical care for patients and  customers. They will maintain pharmacy compliance with all applicable laws and regulations and  accreditation standards as appropriate. Additionally, they will support all customer service efforts of staff. This is a full-time position located in Riverside, CA. Pay range is $75-$80/hr DO

Requirements

  • At least two years experience in specialty pharmacy
  • At least one year experience in infusion or home infusion or retail pharmacy
  • Experience with medication counseling, drug and medical supply procurement, inventory control, risk management, quality assurance, and third-party reimbursement
  • Confidently coaches, supervises and directs personnel to grow in their position and job knowledge.
  • Current working knowledge of accreditation agency requirements and applicable standards
  • Excellent problem solving, communication, public relations, and patient care skills.
  • Is self-directed and able to work with little supervision.
  • Positive and satisfactory references from current employers or professional colleagues
  • Diplomatic when interacting with referral sources, patients/customers, family members, employees, payers, other health care professionals.
  • Good interpersonal and concentration skills.
  • Good organization skills.
  • Able to work in a stressful environment.
  • Good aseptic technique if compounding medications.
  • Sound clinical expertise.
  • Attendance at mandatory educational programs and the personal responsibility to participate in educational activities that will enhance job related skills and abilities as may be requested or required by his/her supervisor

  • Graduate from an accredited school of pharmacy. Pharmacy Doctorate degree is preferred.
  • Current licensure in good standing with the state Board of Pharmacy in the state of practice
  • Licensed in all states which are served by the Pharmacy as required by law and regulation.
  • Appropriately trained in aseptic technique if compounding medications

Responsibilities

  • Maintains the confidentiality of patients/customers, staff and their personal information at all times.
  • Ensures the pharmacy’s and employee’s compliance with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Ensures compliance with accepted professional standards of practice and industry standards of care.
  • Supervises pharmacy technicians and pharmacy interns.
  • Assists with the recruiting, hiring, orienting, and training of new pharmacy staff activities.
  • Assesses staffing needs and levels.
  • Assists with orientation, competence assessments and performance evaluations for all pharmacy employees.
  • Ensures that processes are maintained for safe dispensing of medication, products and supplies including obtaining a complete medication profile.
  • Participates in the creation, development and revision of policies and procedures and other organizational guidelines.
  • Controls costs and inventory.
  • Performs all pharmacist functions, job duties and responsibilities as well.
  • Participates in performance improvement efforts and teams to ensure improvement in systems and processes is ongoing.
