As a Staff Pharmacist Retail, you are expected to be able to problem solve and operate independently as there is only one Pharmacist on the weekend. Being a team player and communicating well with the technician(s) is essential for daily operations. You will need to be flexible in workflow and assist in all areas including calls and pick up. This is a part time position with a schedule of Saturdays and Sundays from 9AM - 5PM, Mondays 2PM - 5PM. Clinical Pharmacy Services is responsible for the management of the Banner formulary, development of standardized system wide clinical pharmacy services, and management of adverse drug event preventions. Clinical Pharmacy Services provides collaborative drug therapy management and educational interventions in patient care to optimize medication therapy, improve outcomes, promote wellness, and disease prevention. POSITION SUMMARY This position provides pharmaceutical care in the retail, outpatient setting. Responsible for the accurate dispensing of prescription medication from the pharmacy and maintaining records according to state and federal regulations. Provides counseling, consultation with other practitioners, family members, and caregivers, to help ensure that medication dispensed is ordered, and used as appropriately and effectively as possible. Oversees the activities of the pharmacy technicians, coordinates workflow and verifies all medications prior to being dispensed. Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients being served. Adheres to local, state, and federal laws regarding the profession of pharmacy practice.
