Staff Pharmacist - Inpatient
About The Position
Ensures the safe and effective use of pharmaceuticals through their proper storage, handling, evaluation, preparation, compounding, labeling and dispensing in conjunction with state and federal regulations and departmental policies. Maintains proper records, documentation and provides complete communication as appropriate. Follows department guidelines with regard to clinical interventions and provides drug information as required and/or requested. Supervises pharmacy technicians and maintains efficient workflow of the area they are working in. Advises other health care professionals on drug interactions, incompatibilities, side effects, and proper administration of medications.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in Pharmacy
- Massachusetts Pharmacist License
Nice To Haves
- Doctor of Pharmacy Degree preferred
- Board Certification preferred
- PGY1 Residency training preferred
