About The Position
Join Nokia’s development team for next-generation digital coherent optical transceiver modules. This individual-contributor engineering position focuses on designing control algorithms for highly integrated optical devices and implementing optical validation tests for digital coherent optical modules used in next-generation optical networking systems. The role also involves the design and simulation of advanced optical/optoelectronic designs and control systems to help ensure high reliability and manufacturability.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Electrical or Optical Engineering and 5 years of experience, or an M.S. in Electrical or Optical Engineering and 10 years of experience.
- Experience with fundamental and advanced photonic device design and characterization techniques.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Highly self-motivated, with the ability to learn quickly and move fast.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with control systems design.
- Software development skills in C, Python, VB, MATLAB, or other languages.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and validate controls for digital coherent optical modules.
- Evaluate system and device designs to ensure product reliability over its lifetime.
