About The Position

Supports operational organizations by developing, implementing, and maintaining standards, procedures, and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with applicable federal regulations, reliability standards, and company policies. Partners with operational organizations and Corporate Regulatory Compliance to interpret regulatory requirements, monitor compliance activities, and improve operational compliance processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Technical field, or another related discipline. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Typically requires five or more years of experience in compliance, including utility operations, cybersecurity, or auditing.
  • At least two years of FERC/NERC compliance experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of operational business processes and procedures

  • Advanced knowledge of compliance, operational risk management, and regulatory frameworks

Responsibilities

  • Leads analysis of new or revised regulations, requirements, and reliability standards.
  • Translates regulatory requirements into operational processes and enterprise compliance solutions.
  • Develops and maintains complex operational standards and procedures.
  • Provides technical leadership and implementation guidance across operational organizations.
  • Leads monitoring and evaluation of compliance controls.
  • Analyzes trends and systemic compliance risks.
  • Develops remediation strategies and partners with Corporate Regulatory Compliance on enterprise initiatives.
  • Serves as the operational compliance subject matter expert.
  • Advises leaders on regulatory requirements and operational impacts.
  • Develops and delivers compliance training programs and strategic communications.
  • Leads regulatory impact analyses and evaluates emerging industry developments.
  • Identifies enterprise process improvements and recommends strategic compliance initiatives.
  • Serves as the functional lead during compliance audits.
  • Provides technical expertise, coordinates audit activities, and supports corrective action planning.
