Staff Nurse (RN/LPN) - Full-time - Nightshift
About The Position
Banyan Treatment Centers is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered or Practical Nurse (RN or LPN) to join our nursing team full-time, nightshift, at our facility in Seminole, FL. In this role, you will provide crucial nursing support to patients undergoing treatment for substance use disorders and mental health conditions, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, regulatory compliance, and fostering the growth of a dynamic team. Your expertise will be instrumental in supporting life-changing outcomes for individuals overcoming addiction and mental health adversities.
Requirements
- Active RN or LPN license in Florida
- Nursing degree/diploma from an accredited school of nursing
- Strong assessment and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent communication abilities
- Ability to maintain objectivity and empathy in patient interactions
- Adherence to the Healthcare Code of Ethics
- Knowledge of state and federal confidentiality regulations
Nice To Haves
- Experience in substance use disorder treatment, acute care, or detox settings
- Familiarity with KIPU EMR system
- Personal or professional familiarity with the local recovery community; lived experience is valued but not required
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, including ASAM forms
- Provide routine nursing care at various levels of care
- Identify treatment needs and integrate findings into collaborative, measurable treatment plans
- Complete nursing documentation in accordance with facility and state requirements
- Review medication logs and assist the medical department with a variety of tasks
- Administer medications as directed by the medical provider
- Facilitate medication education for patients
- Collaborate with patients, families, and referral sources on progress updates and post-discharge planning
- Apply clinical judgment in crisis situations, including risk assessments and de-escalation
- Build rapport and trust with patients through strong interpersonal skills
