About The Position

The University of Iowa Health Care Department of Nursing is seeking a Staff Nurse to perform specific tasks to assist members of the Nursing team in providing patient care under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager. This RN will be closely working with the Ped GI division while in the clinic and office area. They provide support to our physicians/patients and families by completing care coordination for admissions and LL2 procedures, triage calls, and My chart messages. This RN will provide education to our clinic and SFCH GI population as needed.

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with patients/families, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members.
• General computer skills.
• Ability to communicate complicated information to children and their parents.
• Proven ability to problem solve.
• Proven ability to integrate into a team.
• 1 year of RN experience.
• 1 year of pediatric nursing experience.
• Current license to practice nursing in Iowa by date of hire.

Responsibilities
