About The Position

UPMC McKeesport Hospital is hiring a full-time Staff Nurse to work overnights on their Addiction Medicine Unit. This role involves working 3, 12-hour shifts each week from 6:30pm-6:30am, providing care to patients navigating drug and alcohol addiction. The position encourages new graduates to apply and offers a sign-on bonus for experienced nurses, a night shift differential, and union perks. The nurse title and pay will be based on experience and education.

Requirements

  • At least 6 months of work experience.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse.
  • CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) due within 30 days of hire.
  • Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC) due within 60 days of hire.
  • Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Act 33 with renewal
  • Act 34
  • Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.
