Quality and safety are paramount, requiring safe and efficient patient-centered care, demonstrating clinical skills, implementing process improvement strategies, engaging in peer review, collaborating on quality improvement projects, contributing to compliance measures, implementing principles of high reliability, escalating safety hazards, and utilizing information technology for documentation. Operational duties include performing charge nurse duties, coordinating with management for supplies and resources, escalating deficits, demonstrating cost-effective approaches, accurate documentation, and facilitating patient throughput.
