As a new graduate nurse, you will have the opportunity to start your training through observation of a licensed nurse. We can accommodate a flexible schedule until you pass your NCLEX. What you will need to be part of our team: A letter from your nursing program that indicates you have graduated, schedule your NCLEX as soon as you are able, CNA license preferred.

Requirements

  • Completed letter from nursing program indicating graduation
  • Schedule NCLEX as soon as possible
  • CNA license preferred
  • Geriatric experience preferable

Responsibilities

  • Administers medications.
  • Administers treatments, including, but not limited to: dressings, catheterization, suctioning, oxygen, etc.
  • Assists in direct resident care as necessary.
  • Maintains accurate documentation of medication administered and care rendered.
  • Assists in admission and discharge procedures.
  • Responds to resident emergency call system as indicated.
  • Makes rounds with physicians and transcribes orders.
  • Keeps physician and family aware of change in resident’s condition.
  • Maintains the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each patient.
  • Assures continuity of services and care.
  • Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
  • Performs specific work duties and responsibilities assigned by supervisor.
