About The Position

NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center is hiring a registered nurse for its Pulmonary Medicine Stepdown Unit. The unit combines high-acuity medicine with stepdown services and is designed to support complex cases. Nurses provide patient care using specialized rooms and state-of-the-art technology, including next-generation Philips telemetry systems. The position is full-time, working 12-hour night shifts, with weekend and holiday requirements. The role is on-site, and employees must live within commuting distance of NewYork-Presbyterian; travel expenses are not reimbursed.

Requirements

• At least one year of acute care RN experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Current New York State RN license or willingness to obtain one.
• BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the Pulmonary Medicine Stepdown Unit.
• Care for patients with complex needs in a high-acuity medical stepdown setting.
• Use unit technology, including Philips telemetry systems, in delivering patient care.
