The Staff Nurse provides nursing support and care to patients within the ambulatory practice setting of the Fish Center for Women’s Health, a multispecialty clinic located at 850 Boylston Street in Chestnut Hill. This role involves primary triage responsibilities across various specialties including Gynecology, Menopause, Endocrinology, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Infectious Disease, Renal Medicine, Neurology, Hematology, and Sleep Medicine. The Staff Nurse ensures timely patient care, appropriate coordination, and effective communication with patients and referring providers. Key duties include clinical telephone triage for urgent situations, general nursing support, maintaining close working relationships with clinicians and staff, and participating in quality management projects. The position requires proficient use of the electronic medical record for clear, complete, and concise documentation. The Registered Nurse is a professional nurse registered in Massachusetts, responsible and accountable for planning and providing patient care in accordance with Nursing Standards of Care, demonstrating initiative, knowledge, and clinical skills for complex patient needs. This role assumes full responsibility for the assessment, plan, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, reporting directly to a designated nurse manager or supervisor.
