About The Position
The Staff Nurse works on the Oncology 7ABD team at Brigham and Women's Hospital, caring for patients with a broad range of hematological and solid-tumor cancer diagnoses. The role includes educating and supporting patients and families throughout admissions and administering treatments such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy, stem cell transplants, and CAR-T. Nurses work collaboratively to provide safe, excellent care and may participate in the hospital's shared governance structure to support improvements and new ideas. The oncology service also supports research studies and protocols.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- Current registration in Massachusetts.
- Newly licensed nurses must have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.
- Able to work a weekend rotation per the MNA contract.
Nice To Haves
- Prior oncology experience is preferred.
- Membership in professional organizations is recommended.
- Certification in a specialty area is encouraged.
