About The Position

Hennepin Healthcare System is seeking a Staff Nurse to join its Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). The PACU provides critical care to immediate post-operative and post-procedure patients of all ages, including evaluation, monitoring, and treatment for patients emerging from anesthesia. The unit cares for approximately 10,300 patients annually.

This position is 0.75 FTE (60 hours per pay period), with six 10-hour shifts per pay period. Shifts rotate between days and evenings. The role includes working every fourth weekend and on-call duty as required by unit policy. Under general supervision and within the Patient and Family Centered Care model, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care.

Requirements

• Current ACLS certification.
• Obtain PALS certification within three months of hire.
• One year of RN experience in ICU or PACU within the past three years.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• A valid Registered Nurse license issued by the State of Minnesota.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in the area of clinical specialty.
• A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred; advancement in academic education is strongly encouraged and may be discussed during the annual performance review.
