Staff Nurse RN (0.8 FTE) - OB GYN
About The Position
Within the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Relationship-Based Care practice model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by protecting, promoting wellness and optimizing health. This role involves triaging patients by assessing the severity of symptoms and referring them to the appropriate setting or level of care, alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response, and partnering with the patient, their family, and significant others. The nurse will document interventions and an individualized plan of care, educate patients on their disease process, and assure continuity of care. Additionally, the role includes educating patients and families in preventative care which promotes health and well-being.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota
Nice To Haves
- Certification in area of clinical specialty
- Previous OB/Gyn or L&D experience
- BSN Preferred. Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged. Advancement in academic education will be discussed as part of individual professional development during the annual performance review.
