About The Position

This position is for an RN in Ambulatory Surgery. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs based on collected data, providing age-specific nursing interventions consistent with the plan of care and standards of practice, and fostering an environment of care, compassion, and respect. The role also involves utilizing appropriate health and safety equipment, adhering to Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators, contributing to department performance through precepting and mentoring, participating in hospital-system initiatives for evidence-based practices, and demonstrating continued professional growth. The nurse will float to other like units as needed and perform all other assigned duties. An advanced resuscitative certification is required if serving in a charge nurse role.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
Registered Nurse
Basic Life Support

Responsibilities

Assessing the needs of the patients as assigned based on data collected through history, observation, physical examination, and analysis of diagnostic data.
Providing appropriate age specific nursing interventions which are consistent with the plan of care and standards of practice.
Fostering an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion, and respect for patients, families, and visitors.
Utilizing appropriate health and safety equipment to protect both patients and staff.
Utilizing standard work in relation to Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators.
Contributing to the overall performance of the department through precepting and mentoring novice employees.
Contributing to the department growth and performance through hospital-system initiatives cultivating nursing involved Evidence Based Practices.
Demonstrating continued professional growth through setting goals and participating in educational offerings.
Floating to assist in other like units as needed.
Performing all other duties as assigned.
